Neville's Bat-Blooper!
As reported in WOP News earlier this week:

Forever under the misguieded belief that it is a good thing to make a 'striking and dramatic' entrance to public events, our star of the recent 'Bat Nev' blockbuster - Neville Cheestring - somehow managed to convince the owners of the original 1989 Bat Man car to let him drive their machine to the recent Pride of Britain awards.
He neglected to tell them that he only has a provisional licence... and that being for use only with agricultural machinery. More alarming, perhaps, is that at no point did the owners think to check Neville's credentials. Oh, the humanity!
Having taken the second-to-last corner of his approach at a stealthy 11 miles per hour, Nev proceeded to career straight across the following corner, up the facing pavement (making a brief visit to a flower boarder containing a range of hardy perennials), before travelling backwards for 15 metres - at which point he came to rest in an uncannily tidy fashion on the red carpet.
When asked by reporters for his immediate thoughts, Neville said simply "Well... It's not not like my beloved Massey Ferguson, that's for sure. Not in the slightest! Just before the corner, I had a bit of bother getting to grips with the knob thingy - I can always find my knob thingy in the Massey".
Poor old Nev - he really doesn't help himself, does he?!

Bat Poot - original artwork
Following the recent success of action blockbusters The Black Knight and Bat-Nev, much has been made about the relative merits of the chosen cast members. Clearly, it was important that the actors be at the top of their game... but everyone needs inspiration.
We are proud to announce that, for the princely sum of £3.72 and a bunch of 'Computers For Schools' vouchers, World Of Poot has successfully obtained one of the original sketches on which the lead character was based.
This is truely art, my friends - by any definition. Enjoy!

Film Corner With Barry Pokevest...
Bat-Nev 12a
With Barry Pokevest
Ah yes, it's Barry here! I've been asked to do a review of this summer's blockbuster 'Bat-Nev'. And boy what a film this was..if you haven't seen it yet at your local cinema, then I assume you just don't want to.
This film has put the 'Bat' into 'battering ram' which is what the film does to your senses from the first moment our hero gets into the new vamped up Batmobile.
The new BatmobileIt's a case of Holy Something or another in this extravaganza. I've been told not to give too much of the plot away, so this will be relatively spoiler free.....
Bat-Nev/ Bruce Wang, played by Neville Cheestring is called in by Commissioner Bennett to investigate a string of robberies in Temple Meads. The only clues - a mysterious riddle, a joke and a penguin bar.

Leading the double life as a millionaire train spotter, Wang has to dig deep into the criminal underworld to seek out who's responsible whilst fighting off love interest from the delecatable Ethel Spriggett.
There is a scene where Bat-Nev jumps onto a subway train and somehow collects the number, before breaking into the train and kicking The Joker senseless.
Oops, shouldn't have told you that.
The jaw dropping finale set in space was a huge gamble, but it paid off, and you'd never see that one coming! Again, perhaps I should have not mentioned that bit.
I'd best go before I ruin it for all.
Barry's Verdict: A dark, brooding action film, with rolling stock. 9/10

The Joker...possibly
Unless you're living under a rock, or in Kidderminster - you'll no doubt be aware that the latest Batman film 'The Dark Knight' will be out at the cinemas at the end of this week. Already there are rumours to whom could play The Joker if his role was reprised later in the series.
Normally, our Neville would be the first to step up to the challenge, but he's been so overworked lately and is already playing the rear part of Bambi in 'Bambi Legacy'- the new live action film out later in the year.
So, as a good second choice - how about Babbington? He loves a joke and has been known to wear purple from time to time.

So this is how our very own Babbington may look as the Clown Of Evil!
Holy Poot!
